Tachycineta bicolor

I was doing some reading when I heard a commotion. It seems a pair of Tree swallows have decided to nest in one of our bird houses! I was surprised! I haven't seen them around before, only the barn swallows. Their song is a beautiful little warble that reminds me of water babbling across rocks.

The male here (I believe?) kept calling to his mate whom was just out of shot below him on the bird house. They let me get quite close!

I'd like to say this is the best picture yet my new camera has taken. It may prove itself yet!
