They eat by piercing flesh and drinking right from a vein. If done without scrutiny this can easily kill the target if the Drosera is large enough. They never have to open their mouth, the tongue fits through the small slit at the front of their mouth, and when not in use tucks back into their neck. It can be up to 3+ ft long. Killing prey is seen as careless, they prefer to sip from many for a fulfilling meal.

While they have the organs for romp and fun in bipedal forms, they cannot reproduce. Their species solely revolves around converting other individuals. This is the only time they will open their mouths, and allow their hollow fangs to unfold. Their eyes will usually glow their personal energy color, that differs from each individual. 

After biting their target, they will pump them with a cocktail of substances. First to subdue and immobilize the target, and then to begin the conversion process. Sometimes, the target may be paralyzed and conscious throughout the entire change, which is described as 'painful and horrible' and could make an individual insane. It is thought some drosera can control this mix, and can make the process better or worse. 

A drosera must keep biting the target for over an hour in order to deliver appropriate amounts to cause a successful change. Size of the target can change this time, and it leaves the drosera vulnerable. It is in their interest to let the process complete successfully, or the target will die. 

The target's transformation can take 6 to 12 hours to complete, and they will be weak and ill. But memory of the process is usually poor, or ended with chemical releases that help the new drosera to adapt to their situation. This does not always occur.

New Drosera can only be created from sentient beings. Those that have limited intelligence will have their mental capacities expanded, and may result in a better quality of life mentally. 'Young' targets have a small survival rate, but if they do, they will require more care and will be small. However, they will 'grow' to an adult size. The biggest Drosera tend to have been larger individuals or creatures in their original form.

Drosera do not have bloodlust, blood is simply their diet. They also require water, and are sometimes attracted to sweets such as honey, or salts. They cannot live on these things alone like they can blood, however. They only have teeth on the front portion of their mouth. 

While individuals dont have to ever turn others into their species, it is frowned upon, especially from clan groups. They are not immortal, and they are also hunted and persecuted both for their scales and ways of life. Numbers tend to be a big deal. 

Drosera can have semblances of their previous form in their 'bipedal' forms, but they will always have Drosera features. They do however tend to seem appealing, elegant and beautiful. Creatures that have a lot of beauty tend to be very dangerous in their world.
